DescriptionOne of the more difficult to find Pullman Menus as this was used on the Union Pacific's Butte Special that ran between Butte, MT, Ogden, UT and Salt Lake City, UT as Pullman Line 679. It was unique in that Pullman converted two 6 section, 6 roomette and 4 double bedroom cars to 4 sec., 6 rmt 4 dbr snack bar cars offering more food than a typical lounge car, but less than a buffet or diner. The Menu code of UP2-1-3C-B63 indicates that 300 copies (3C) were printed in February of 1963 (B63). Pullman Commissary files for Line 679 show that the "Frankfurter on Roll with German Potato Salad, Pickles" was a later entry to this service.
