| Description | One of the first Amtrak Dining Car Menus. Date code of 1E 2-72 dates this menu to February 1972. The cover has the distinctive blunt Arrow Amtrak Logo on the front and back. Dinner on an Amtrak train was much different then what you find today on a Superliner or Combo Diner-Lounge. A brief description of why train travel is fun entitled "Welcome Aboard Amtrak's Fun Train" is found on the second page, followed by Dinner on the third. A full dinner was only $3.50 and freshly baked pie at 50 cents. |
