Description	New York Central (NYC) Railroad Mercury pattern covered soup body made by Syracuse China in 1943. This pattern was first used in 1936 only for the NYC's Mercury between Detroit and Cleveland but became the standard china pattern when Syracuse china started producing it in 1939.
