Description | A Pullman menu used for Beverage Service on the Golden State lounge car. The Golden State (The word Limited was dropped from the train's name in 1948) was the premier train for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad operated jointly with the Southern Pacific Railroad from Chicago to Los Angeles. The date code tells us that only 400 menus were printed in this run (4C = 400 in SB-4-W-4C-B54). While the menu does have some condition issues, it is still very collectible. |
