DescriptionAn interesting Pullman Restaurant Breakfast or Light Lunch Buffet Service Menu from World War II (WWII). This 1944 menu cover features an official United States Navy photograph of "A United States Navy Aircraft Carrier Flanked by PT'S Moves to Sea." Like almost all railroad menus during the war, both the front and back covers have prominent advertisements for "Buy War Bonds and Stamps." The 1M in the date code (CAN-125G-1M-D44) tells the reader that only 1,000 copies of this menu were printed. It was for use on a train that traveled in both the United States and Canada. Many different trains on numerous railroads could have used this menu. It clearly states that alcoholic beverages for sale in the United States ONLY.
