Description | A nice example of a 1950 Pullman Beverage Service menu. The "individual bottle service" stock cover was first used by the Pullman Commissary director L.C. Armfield (as well as other railroads) and was used on many post war menus. When Drake (from the same family that started the famous Drake Hotel in Chicago) took over the Pullman Commissary, he still used a few of the stock covers from the previous director. The menu code of B-1 A 16M-B50 dates this to February of 1950 with 16,000 copies printed. |
