DescriptionA nice example of a patriotic Pullman Lounge and Club Car Service Menus from World War II (WWII). This 1943 menu cover features a photograph of a United State Coast Guardsmen standing watch with a rifle. The caption reads The Coast Guard - "On Guard" (official photograph United State Coast Guard). This is a unique menu in that it is for "Selective Meal Variations" with four selections labeled A, B, C and D. Each selection includes Soup or Appitizer, Vegatable and Potatoes, Salad, Bread and Butter, Dessert, Coffee or Tea or Milk. An A La Carte and Beverage selection is also included. Food and Beverage Service from the Buffet will be Discontinued at 10:00 P. M. The date code LD-75D-700-D43 tells us that only 700 copies of this menu were printed in April of 1943.
